Fitter: What's the circuit? Activity card
Students work in pairs to create a mystery circuit inside a shoe box. From the outside the shoebox shows four terminals and two light bulbs but the wiring inside is not visible. Once complete the shoebox can be swapped with another pair who have to connect voltmeters and power packs to the terminals to figure out what the circuit inside the box might be.
After completing this activity students will:
- Understand the principles of creating a simple electric circuit.
- Understand how test equipment can be used to determine the properties of an electric circuit and how it might be used to diagnose faults.
