Underground cables Big Picture Challenge
Students are asked to choose an appropriate cable for a jointing project. They need to make use of data about current requirements and reference these to a cable specification table in order to choose the correct underground cable for the job.
After completing this activity students will:
- Understand the different circumstances under which underground and overhead cables are used.
- Understand that larger currents require thicker cables.
